These 1-1/4" drop pipe couplings are awsome! Excellent thread taper & fit on our schedule 120 drop pipe. They made quick work of our well pump replacement!

I’m not sure who is to blame, quality control or the machinists who are making them. I am a professional water well repairman and buy these in bulk. The last year or so I’ve been noticing that it looked like the sidewall looked thicker on one side than the other. I finally took the time to do some measuring of my own and found that there is 1/16” difference on average on the sidewall thickness. If we are buying couplings made from sch120 pipe it’s not so the machinist can be off more, it is so we can have a coupling with a thicker sidewall! In my opinion Merrill should do a recall. Or is just another example of the new American way, pay more get less.
